Database updates are taking longer than originally estimated. Because of that, we are extending the downtime until 20:00 UTC. Thank you for your understanding.

My god folks
stop with the name calling here. and start looking at yourself. This is a game. not medical mistake or something.
just give them the time so all run smooth. if you don't have a life go play wow or something. keep in mind a lot of players appriciate how CCP works here.
like free updates and the they try to keep us up to date with when the servers are expected to be back. imho i rather have they inform me then they would say: the server is offline for 36 hours.
just keep in mind. it are real people behind here and they make a living like you surpose to do. it is there job and the same as you they try to do there job as good as posible.
Just my 2.5 dollar Dako

What I don't understand is why CCP doesn't post updates more regularly in this thread. I just spent half an hour reading backwards trying to find the latest update from CCP... Didn't see it

I think what's more important for players is the fact that they pay to play and yet have to suffer multiple outages and seemingly never-ending extended downtime (yes, I know, a watched kettle never boils). Just once though I'd like to see a patch deployed within the allotted time. I mean come on, surely CCP are doing dry runs on SIT/UAT servers before going live, they surely have an actual clue as to how long it takes? Seems to me we get less actual game time per month whilst paying the same amount.
Whats up m8. u mad bro?
it's just info i given. not starting an agument with people like you.
do that argument with CCP or go play WoW or something :)

You guys should try the test again and do in from the Reykjavic servers.
That sucks a bit
i am doing a test now by downloading the full bild. This is not hosted in raykjaviv
to download 4 GB is going to take me 4 minutes and 30 seconds
